Overview

The Xbee Zigbee 1mW Wireless Module (802.15.4) is used to transmit and receive data at the 2.4 GHz frequency over a 100 m radius.

The XBee module is ideal for transmitting / receiving data from various devices that have a serial port (microcontrollers, computers). It supports Point-To-Point or Multi-Point networks.

Due to its advantages, the module can be used in a wide range of electronics projects. For example, it can be used to construct robots to be remotely controlled or to send measured data from sensors attached to the robot.

The module can also be used in security systems to transmit data in case of events (intrusion). The high data transmission range is an advantage as it can transmit up to a distance of 100m.

The configuration of the module is done by the X-CTU software.
