The ULN2003 is a high voltage, high current darlington array containing seven open collector darlington pairs in common emitter connection. Each channel is rated at 500 mA and can withstand peak currents of 600 mA. The ULN2003 chip is very useful for driving high current loads like relays and motors which need more power than a microcontroller can supply or sink.
